Mike Fong's tenure in the California State Assembly since 2022 has been marked by a strikingly uniform voting record: he has never cast a single "no" vote on substantive legislation, instead voting "yes" over 9,300 times across thousands of opportunities. This shows a resigned approach to governance, where bills pass through his approval without apparent scrutiny or opposition, even as they shape critical policies affecting District 49 residents. This blanket affirmation shows a critical lack of active engagement and an apathetic representative, entirely detached from the everyday struggles of his constituents, who prioritizes party politics over vigorous advocacy for their interests. In our district, grappling with issues like homelessness, high taxes, and public safety concerns, such resignation to voting yes on everything, regardless of implications, has led to inefficient governance that fails to address root problems effectively. You deserve leadership that thoughtfully weighs decisions rather than defaulting to approval, ensuring policies truly serve the community's well-being rather than perpetuating systemic inefficiencies.
